If you read through the Psalms, and I suppose it may vary depending on the translation of the scripture you read, you will see the word “Selah” all the way through. Selah is a Hebrew word that means pause. To me knowledge, there is not other part of scripture that urges us to pause as we read it.
I am eternally thankful for the pauses that have occurred in my own life. They are there for a reason, in Psalms and in my life. This is a Selah period of life for me and I am resting and pausing in the Lord; allowing him to renew my heart and mind and earnestly seeking his face in the quiet moments of Selah.
