Savoring What I Would Not Have Chosen

If I had my way, I’d be working in the field of my Master’s degree.  I’d be married.  I’d have close friends.  I’d pay my bills easily.  There is nothing wrong with those desires.

But if I had my way, I’d probably be content to lean on my own strength, and I would let my relationship with God grow very cold.

Instead I’m savoring the unexpected sweetnesses of depending on my Papa God.  Discovering the joy of slowly building a dear relationship.  With eyes God opened, seeing His fingerprints all around me.  And despite my fear, seeing how God provides–not always how I wanted, but better than I could have dreamt for myself.  ~Timmery
