Counting Winter Gifts

Winter is a hard season for me–being in the winter of my own life.

So hard to rise on winter mornings–the cold, it agonizes me; and the low light and shorter days make me feel so rushed to try accomplish in shorter daylight hours before my body rhythm sets with the sun. “When I awake, I am still with You, Lord… Even in winter. So take my reluctant body out into the early morning winter and touch me with Your love and your majesty. Let me feel the cold and praise You for it–for every gift and mercy You give with it…

Daring everyday to count and give thanks for the gifts of winter. Been counting since mid December. Crystal dew frost; Rosy gold winter sunrise framed with dark lacey winter wooded columns; a rose in winter; pink roses in a winter garden… Have photos, but cannot figure out how to insert them…More to come…
