A God That Listens

I am a mom of two amazing young men. One has had more than his share of disappointment and heartache…unimaginable things, really. He is 19. I’ve watched all joy, happiness and hope fade from his face over the past two years. For hours and hours I have been on my knees, sobbing as I beg God to take this life-sucking agony from my beloved son…to remove these circumstances that I didn’t think we had the strength to get through. God did not take them from us, but he did walk this horrific path with us. Slowly, I can see glimpses of my son returning…joy has moments of emergence…God is always good and we are always loved…we are never alone.
