When I was a homeschool mom with four in school and my world swirled around the teaching, the tasks, the training, I often struggled with how my life mattered in the grand scheme of things. I struggled with the thought that I wasn’t doing enough to reach the world for Christ or draw others closer to Him.
Today my oldest child and her family reserved plane tickets to go and serve Jesus in Uganda. Her younger brother and his family are not far behind in the journey to the mission field and will also be serving in Uganda. I am now seeing how my life is impacting the world for Christ and I am thankful.
I am thankful for the way Jesus shaped us and molded us for this day through all those days of teaching… thankful that my children walk in truth… thankful for all the days and hours I had with them during our homeschool years and thankful that God used the ordinariness of my life to build His kingdom in ways I never dreamed.

I just began the homeschool journey, half-way through the raising them journey. Two are already grown and gone, and I’m savoring each moment with the 9 and 11 year-olds that remain. Your thanks is pure encouragement and I’m thankful for the joy you hold close.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I have only recently begun my homeschooling journey with my oldest in 2nd grade and 2 behind her. The days are so so long and I often struggle to find perpose in it all. Recently God encourage me that this was my part in building His kingdom. Your post was a very sweet and REAL LIFE reminder of that!
Thank you for your faithfulness to endure all of those long days and years! The world will now hear about Jesus because of it!
