folded laundry in baskets from my mother~ bouncing curls flying in the air with squeels of laughter~ button noses~ tiny bites out of apples~ his naked chest beside me watching it slowly settle to sleep~ pitter patter of tiny toes down the hallway~

I’v started my list, 20 so far. ~birdsong from the trees outside our bedroom window~sound of the creek rushing down the canyon~ toothless smile of my grandaughter~the smell and feel of my husbands neck~sunrise over silver star mountain~ the warmth of a wood fire….I’m already experiencing a transformation of my attitude and feelings about life.
