I am thankful for how my middle son “Bubbos” (Finnegan) insists that he rubs my face every night before he goes to bed. He needs me to climb up to the edge of his top bunk so he can cradle my face in his two baby soft three year old hands. Rubbing my cheeks. He calls this “Bubbo Rubbins”. Every night, without fail, he rubs my face. Walks his fingers around my cheeks. Over my forehead. He calls this “spiders” and “stairs”. It’s very methodical and loving. So giving. Selfless.
