A True Gift

Saturday morning, depression sinking in deeply. Usually the night I keep my precious grandchildren the depression is not felt. However this morning even waking up to their little smiley beautiful faces and gentle hugs didnt seem to make a difference. As I stood in the kitchen aching inside the song “O How He Loves Us” came on the radio. My little busy three year old came over, put her cereal bowl down, lifted up her arms and said “mamaw, hold me”!  I cried as she hugged me tighter than ever! I told her that Jesus was using her arms to hold me! She sweetly lifted up her head and said “I already know that!” I am thankful for the gift of my life and my grandchildren!
